Organic Super Greens Supplement FAQs

Can Green be used with other flea prevention products?

Yes, in most cases it can. However, we always recommend checking with that particular product's manufacturer just to make sure.

Can Green be given to a puppy?

Yes, Green can be given to puppies older than 8 weeks. However, just to be sure it’s ok in your particular case, we always recommend checking with your veterinarian first as they will know your pup best.

Can I mix the powder with my dog's food?

Yes, you can mix it with food or drinking water.

How long should it take to see the results?

All dogs are different and their condition varies but most of our customers notice changes between 2–4 weeks of using the supplement, if not earlier.

When should spirulina not be given to dogs?

Dogs with autoimmune disorders like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis should not be given spirulina as it can stimulate their immune system and make their condition much worse. In addition, if your pooch is on medication, you should speak to your vet before you add spirulina to their diet.

When should chlorella not be given to dogs?

Chlorella may not be suitable for dogs with iodine sensitivity, seafood allergies, or those with thyroid disorders requiring a low-iodine diet (though its iodine level is generally low). Some dogs may experience mild digestive upset, gas, or loose stools when first introduced, so start gradually. Avoid use in dogs with autoimmune conditions unless advised by a vet, as it can mildly stimulate the immune response.

When shouldn’t you feed your dog wheatgrass?

Wheatgrass should be avoided if your dog has a gluten allergy or intolerance, even though the grass itself contains very little gluten. Dogs with sensitive stomachs or those prone to vomiting from eating fresh grass should also start with small amounts, as too much fibre or chlorophyll can cause mild nausea. Avoid if your dog has chronic digestive inflammation unless your vet approves.

When shouldn’t you feed your dog barley grass?

Barley grass is generally safe, but it’s best avoided for dogs with celiac disease, grain allergies, or gluten sensitivity, since some barley grass preparations may contain trace gluten. Also, avoid barley grass in dogs with digestive sensitivities or those taking medications that affect potassium levels, as barley grass is naturally rich in potassium and chlorophyll, which can alter electrolyte balance if overused.

When shouldn’t you feed your dog kelp?

Kelp should not be fed to dogs with thyroid disorders, especially hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism under medication, due to its naturally high iodine content. Excess iodine can disrupt thyroid hormone production. Avoid also if your dog has seafood allergies or is already receiving an iodine-containing supplement. Always choose kelp from clean, tested waters, as contaminated sources may contain heavy metals.
