Homemade Mushroom Powder for Dogs

A simple homemade mushroom powder to support your dog’s immune system and gut health. Made from everyday mushrooms like white button, chestnut or portobello, this blend provides natural beta-glucans, prebiotic fibres and antioxidants in an easy-to-feed format – perfect for fussy eaters.

fresh mushrooms (white button, chestnut, portobello or lion’s mane)

Feeding guide

Start small and introduce gradually - Around 1 teaspoon per 10 kg of body weight

Directions

Choose fresh mushrooms that are safe for human consumption.
Gently clean and slice them thinly.
Optional: Place slices in direct sunlight for a few hours to increase vitamin D2 content.
Dry in a dehydrator at 50°C for around 8 hours, or in the oven on its lowest setting with the door slightly ajar for about 5 hours. They should be completely crisp.
Allow to cool fully.
Blend into a fine powder using a high-speed blender or spice grinder.
Store in an airtight glass jar in a cool, dry place.
