A gentle slow-cooked chicken stew for adult and senior dogs, made with a blend of chicken breast and thigh, nutrient-rich liver, and fibre-rich vegetables. Ideal for sensitive stomachs and perfect for batch cooking.

***

Ingredients (to make ~1,000 kcal)

  • 395 g – Chicken breast
  • 65 g – Potatoes (white)
  • 97 g – Chicken thigh
  • 65 g – Broccoli
  • 65 g – Carrots
  • 43 g – Olli All-in-One Homemade Diet Supplement
  • 40 g – Chicken liver
  • 27 g – Salmon (canned, drained, no salt)
  • 0.2 g – Nutritional yeast

Please note: this recipe is not nutritionally complete on its own. To make it suitable for everyday feeding, we add Olli All-in-One Homemade Diet Supplement, which supplies calcium and essential vitamins and minerals that cannot be reliably provided by raw ingredients alone.

If you’re not using Olli, you would need to provide the missing nutrients yourself. Per 100 g of this recipe, that means adding approximately 1.18 g calcium, 0.10 g chloride, 0.38 mg copper, 0.28 mg iodine, 13.2 mg zinc, 7.5 IU vitamin E, 0.06 mg vitamin B1 (thiamine), and 101 mg choline to meet minimum requirements.

  2. Place the chicken and liver into a pan or heavy-based pot and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add in the vegetables.
  4. Pour in enough water to cover.
  5. Cook on low heat for 6–8 hours, or until everything is soft and fully cooked.
  6. Stir in the salmon and nutritional yeast at the end of cooking.
  7. Allow the stew to cool completely.
  8. Mix in the Olli whole food supplement thoroughly once cooled.
  9. Portion into containers. Refrigerate for 3–4 days or freeze for later use.
